Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights absolutely handled business today versus the Tunkhannock Tigers, taking an 8-0 victory! A shutout thanks to a monster performance on the mound by John Comitz, who was just lights out! The Blue Knights wasted no time getting on the board, with Leo Nockley blasting a solo home run to right field in the very first inning. They kept the pressure on in the second, adding two more runs when Leo Nockley walked and John Comitz singled, each bringing in a run. Comitz was basically unhittable, letting up only two hits through the entire game. He was painting corners and making the most of his pitches, locking down that incredible shutout. The Tigers' starting pitcher, Hunter Gilroy, struggled a bit, giving up three runs on four hits over two and one-third innings. He had five strikeouts, but also walked six batters, which definitely helped the Blue Knights keep their momentum. Paul Poepperling came in to relieve Hunter Gilroy, pitching four and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on seven hits. The Blue Knights offense was relentless, piling up 11 hits. George Rolland was an absolute beast at the plate, going 4-for-4. Seriously, every time he stepped up, you knew something good was gonna happen! Ryan Finlay and Leo Nockley were clutch, each driving in two runs. Nieko Ravaioli and John Comitz also had multiple hits, showing off that deep lineup. The Blue Knights also showed incredible patience, drawing eight walks, with Leo Nockley and Cash Hanson-Richart each grabbing two free passes. And get this: Wyoming Seminary played flawlessly, not making a single error in the field. Cash Hanson-Richart was a vacuum at first base, making seven plays. The Tunkhannock Tigers just couldn't get their bats going against Comitz. Aidan Mislevy and Matthew Kaleta managed to snag the only hits for their squad. Defensively, the Tigers kept it clean with no errors, and Dalton Geary was a rock with 10 plays.

Player of the Game: John Comitz

Seriously, how can you not give it to John Comitz? A complete game shutout, only two hits allowed, and he even contributed at the plate with a hit and an RBI! That's what you call a great performance.
