OLD FORGE — The postseason opened with authority Saturday night as Old Forge delivered a commanding performance in the first round of the PIAA Class 2A state playoffs, defeating East Juniata 79–37.
The Blue Devils wasted little time setting the tone. Old Forge stormed out to a 23–10 lead after the first quarter and continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor. By halftime, the Blue Devils had built a comfortable 51–16 advantage, fueled by efficient shooting and relentless defensive intensity.
Old Forge was led by a pair of standout performances. Cameron Parker poured in a game-high 24 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc, while Logan Fanning dominated inside with 21 points. Their balanced scoring attack helped the Blue Devils shoot 34 field goals on the night and maintain control throughout all four quarters.
East Juniata was paced by Wrett Smith, who scored 20 points for the Tigers, and Sam Kopacki, who added 10. Despite those efforts, the Tigers struggled to keep pace against Old Forge’s high-powered offense.
Old Forge also found contributions across the lineup, with Cam Krushnowski adding eight points, Robby Solfanelli finishing with eight, and Ryan DeMarco chipping in seven as the Blue Devils showcased their depth.
With the win, Old Forge advances to the Round of 16 in the PIAA Class 2A state playoffs, where the Blue Devils will face Delco Christian on Wednesday at a site to be determined.
