Baseball: Jersey Shore with the Victory over Milton 14-12

The Jersey Shore Bulldogs secured a 14-12 victory over the Milton Black Panthers in a high-scoring non-conference baseball contest held at Jersey Shore on Monday. Both teams showcased potent offenses, combining for 26 runs and 23 hits across the seven-inning affair.

Jersey Shore initiated the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the first inning, establishing an early lead. Milton responded in the second, plating two runs to level the score. The Bulldogs then added two more in the third, and a significant eight-run outburst in the fourth inning propelled them to a commanding 12-5 advantage. Milton chipped away with three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth. Jersey Shore further extended their lead with two runs in the sixth inning. Despite a late rally in the top of the seventh where the Black Panthers scored six runs, the Bulldogs held on to clinch the win.

For Jersey Shore, Mazden Lupton was a standout performer at the plate, recording four hits, including a triple and a home run, driving in four runs and scoring three times. Hunter Enders also had a strong offensive outing with three hits, all doubles, contributing three RBIs and crossing the plate twice. C. Rhinehart added two hits, a double, two RBIs, and a run scored, while Nate Moore and Mason Winter each drove in two runs. Pitcher Mason Winter worked four innings, striking out seven Milton batters.

Milton's offense was led by Louis Williams, who tallied two hits, including a double, and three RBIs, along with one run scored. Brody Locke contributed two hits, two RBIs, and scored two runs. Gabe Engel also registered two hits and one run. Jackson Wertz recorded one hit, one RBI, and crossed the plate twice. On the mound, Jackson Wertz pitched two effective innings in relief, allowing only one earned run and striking out two.
