DALLAS, Pa. — The Back Mountain Torrent are league champions.
Back Mountain delivered another dominant performance Sunday, defeating Lancaster Inferno 3-0 to capture the league championship and earn a berth in the upcoming United Women’s Soccer Finals.
The Torrent’s balanced attack and disciplined defense were on full display as they controlled the match from start to finish, securing the title with goals from Caelan Gallagher, Liv Maniskas, and Addi Corchado.
Gallagher opened the scoring on an assist from Esa Mendola, giving the Torrent an early advantage.
Maniskas extended the lead in the second half after finishing a pass from Corchado before Corchado put the match away with a goal of her own, again set up by Mendola, who finished the afternoon with two assists.

Defensively, the Torrent were just as impressive, recording a clean sheet and limiting Lancaster’s scoring opportunities throughout the match.
The victory crowns Back Mountain as league champions and sends the club into the United Women’s Soccer Finals, where it will have the opportunity to continue its postseason run against top competition from across the league.
For a program that has continued to elevate women’s soccer in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Sunday’s championship performance was another statement. With contributions throughout the lineup and another complete team effort, the Torrent now turn their attention to the next challenge with momentum firmly on their side.
