Abington Heights and Valley View Win at North Pocono as Meyer Shoots Even Par; Honesdale and Elk Lake Also Win in Lackawanna League Golf

Tall Pines, Par 35 | Sept. 23
Hannah LaRue was the best player on the course at Tall Pines. She shot a 41 to take medalist honors and led Elk Lake to an 18-stroke win over Old Forge.
Elk Lake got three scores in the low 40s. LaRue's 41 led the way, Nami Patton was right behind her with a 43, and Piper Keeney added a 47 to finish the counting three for a 131 total. Raegan Sample (48) and Kierney Shalata (50) also played for Elk Lake.
Old Forge had four golfers on the card. Mia Fox led them with a 49, and Addison Rafalko and Kamryn Notari each shot 50 for a team total of 149. Jenny Solfanelli carded a 54.

North Pocono hosted two league matches at Elmhurst on Sept. 24, one against Abington Heights and one against Valley View. The Trojans' scores counted in both matches.
Abington Heights 150, North Pocono 188
Elmhurst, Par 36 | Sept. 23
Abington Heights put up one of the best team scores you'll see in this league, a 150. Sebastian Meyer shot an even-par 36 to take medalist honors, and he started birdie, birdie on holes 1 and 2.
All six Comets broke 43. Cole Severs shot a 37 with a birdie on No. 4. Ryan Boyd had a 38 with birdies on 2 and 8, and Gavin Peters shot a 39 with a birdie on 2. William Yoo and Connor O'Malley-Kalinoski each shot 42, and O'Malley-Kalinoski birdied No. 8. That's seven birdies for the team.
Dylan Hunter led North Pocono with a 44, and Braylon Radick added a 46.

This one was much closer. Valley View beat North Pocono by six strokes, and depth made the difference.
The medalist spot was a tie. Valley View's Rocco Wascura and North Pocono's Dylan Hunter both shot 44. Behind them, all four of Valley View's counting scores were 47 or better: Caeden Krause shot 45, Jack Kelly 46 and Rocco Farina 47. Brian Bauer (48) and Braden Loff (49) rounded out the Cougars' lineup.
For North Pocono, Braylon Radick shot a 46 behind Hunter, and David Jones and Lawson Supon each carded 49. Carter Hagnebaugh and Cole Cooper both finished at 52.

Woodloch, Par 36 | Sept. 23
Honesdale went to Woodloch and won by 38 strokes. Maddox Johnson and Benjamin Schneider each shot 40 to share medalist honors. Johnson made two birdies and Schneider made one.
Trevan Dahlgren shot a 44 for Honesdale's third counting score, and Reed Howell, Woodlan Reynolds and Maurice Denns each shot 45. With all six starters at 45 or better, the Hornets were never in danger. Alternates Sam Tirney (47) and Connor Tirney (50) also played.
Gavin Wightman had the best round for Wallenpaupack. He shot a 42 with a birdie, the third-best score of the day. The rest of the Buckhorns' lineup was recorded at 55.
