The Wyoming Valley Conference championship is set, and a familiar rivalry will take center stage as Dallas and Crestwood prepare to meet for the third time this season with everything on the line. Both teams earned their spots with impressive semifinal performances, setting up what promises to be a high-energy battle between two of the conference’s most consistent and battle-tested programs. Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 PM at Hazleton Area, where anticipation is already building for a matchup that feels both inevitable and electric.

Crestwood advanced with a strong 55–41 victory over Wyoming Area, showcasing their trademark balance and defensive intensity. Ayden Agapito led the Comets with 16 points while freshman Miles Metz added 12, highlighting the blend of experience and emerging talent that has fueled Crestwood’s run this season. The Comets settled into their rhythm after a competitive opening quarter, locking in defensively and executing offensively to pull away and secure their place in the championship game. Wyoming Area was paced by Luke Kopechny’s 25 points and Drew Keating’s 11 in a hard-fought semifinal matchup.

Dallas arrives with momentum of its own following a commanding 55–34 win over Holy Redeemer. Joey Nocito paced the Mountaineers with 17 points, supported by key contributions from Pat Flanagan and Tyce Mason as Dallas controlled the pace from start to finish. Having already defeated Crestwood twice this season, Dallas enters the championship with confidence, while Crestwood looks to flip the script when it matters most. Saturday’s title game promises intensity, adjustments, and the kind of atmosphere that defines WVC basketball — a rivalry renewed, a championship waiting, and two programs ready to leave everything on the floor.
