Wyoming Valley Conference Coaches Announce 2024-25 Division 2 Boys Basketball All-Stars

The Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) has officially released its 2024-25 Division 2 Coaches’ All-Star Team, highlighting the standout performers from this year’s high school basketball season. These selections honor the top players in the league who demonstrated elite skills, leadership, and commitment on the court.
Wyoming Area’s Luke Kopetchny Named MVP
Sophomore sensation Luke Kopetchny of Wyoming Area has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Division 2. A dynamic playmaker and scoring threat, Kopetchny turned heads all season with his ability to take over games despite being just a sophomore. His leadership and consistency were instrumental in Wyoming Area’s success, making him the clear choice for the conference’s top individual honor.
Division 2 First Team Selections
Alongside Kopetchny, five other players earned First Team All-Star honors for their outstanding play:
- David Popson (Sr., Holy Redeemer) – The veteran leader of the Royals, Popson was a force offensively and defensively, guiding Redeemer through a tough WVC schedule.

- Antek Evan (Jr., Wyoming Seminary) – A rising star for Seminary, Evan played a major role in his team’s success and will be a name to watch next season.
Second Team Selections Recognized for Strong Seasons
The Second Team All-Stars features five more players who delivered impressive performances throughout the season:
- Boden Lukasavage (Jr., Tunkhannock) – A key contributor for the Tigers, Lukasavage showed his potential as one of the top young players in the league.
- Billy Hanson (Sr., Berwick) – A senior leader for the Bulldogs, Hanson played with grit and determination every game.
- Brayden Sock (Sr., Holy Redeemer) – A valuable two-way player for the Royals, Sock’s defensive intensity and scoring ability stood out.
- Nick Pantages (Sr., MMI Prep) – Pantages brought a strong offensive presence to MMI, keeping his team competitive with his shooting and playmaking.
- Kaden Hickman (Sr., Berwick) – Another Berwick standout, Hickman was a steady contributor who gave his all on the court every night.
