KINGSTON, PA – A strong first half and a dominant third quarter propelled Wyoming Seminary past Blue Ridge, 56-39, in Wednesday night's Class 2A quarterfinal matchup.
Theo Kraus led the charge for the Blue Knights, scoring a game-high 17 points, including three three-pointers. Cash Hansen provided a major spark off the bench, adding 13 points while knocking down three triples of his own. Antek Evan also played a key role, contributing 11 points and two three-pointers.
Seminary was lethal from beyond the arc, sinking eight three-pointers, compared to Blue Ridge’s three. Their efficiency from the free-throw line also made a difference, as they connected on 12 of 22 attempts, while Blue Ridge managed only 8 of 8.
For Blue Ridge, Paxton Pingarelli fought hard, scoring a team-best 18 points with a strong presence in the paint. Gehrig Dibble added 10 points, knocking down two three-pointers, while Brayden Smith had three points with a lone triple.
Wyoming Seminary (No. 4 seed) will now face No. 1 Old Forge in the semifinals, aiming to continue their postseason push to the Mohegan Arena.
