The Berwick Bulldogs remained undefeated with a 56–19 win over the Hanover Area Hawkeyes on Friday night, improving their record to 5–0 while Hanover dropped to 2–3.
Senior running back Ty Wilkerson delivered a standout performance, rushing for 265 yards and scoring five touchdowns, including a 90-yard run just before halftime. His effort pushed him past 1,000 rushing yards on the season. Quarterback Brady Cleaver added a 1-yard touchdown run to open the scoring, while Caleb May provided a special teams spark with a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown late in the third quarter.
Hanover found the end zone three times, highlighted by a 12-yard touchdown connection between quarterback Logan Richardson and his brother Conor Richardson just before halftime. Despite those moments, the Hawkeyes were unable to match the Bulldogs’ pace as Berwick controlled the game from start to finish.
Berwick will now prepare for a key matchup against Wyoming Area, while Hanover will look to rebound on the road against Tunkhannock.
Final Score: Berwick 56, Hanover Area 19
