Portfolio Players of the Week

Presented by Krupa Wealth Management

Two words defined Pittston Area’s performance in Week 4: unstoppable duo.

Quarterback Paulie Ferentino and wide receiver Lucas LoPresto combined to ignite an offensive explosion that set a new program record for most points scored in a single game. Ferentino carved up the defense with 302 passing yards and five touchdown throws, while LoPresto did it all, seven catches for 190 yards and three touchdowns, a 64-yard punt return touchdown, plus three tackles, one tackle for loss, and a forced fumble with recovery.

This was portfolio balance at its highest level, with both players shining on the same stage.

Even in defeat, Delaware Valley’s Mike Iuzzolino reminded everyone why he’s among the region’s premier running backs. Iuzzolino delivered two electrifying house calls, scoring on runs of 78 and 71 yards while finishing with 210 rushing yards against Scranton Prep.

Honorable mentions: Brayden Rose (Riverside, 90-yard kickoff return), Lucas LoPresto (Pittston Area, 63-yard punt return), Caedon Voglino (Carbondale Area, 90-yard touchdown run).

Pressure situations create defining moments. For Dallas Mountaineers kicker Brandon Miller, Week 4 provided exactly that. With the game on the line, Miller drilled a 22-yard walk-off field goal to secure a 24–21 victory over Wilkes-Barre Area. It was the Mountaineers’ first win of the season, delivered with ice in his veins.

Drip of the Week

Presented by The DRIPBaR Scranton

This week’s drip was not about individual style—it was about community and purpose. The Mid Valley Spartans dedicated their night to former student-athlete Eddie Kaufman, who continues his fight against cancer. From orange socks and custom shirts to run-through banners and compression sleeves honoring Eddie, the Spartans ensured the message was bigger than the game.

Players, coaches, cheerleaders, and fans all stood together, turning their program into a symbol of strength and support. This week’s drip was unity, purpose, and heart.
