Warrior Classic Showcases Top High School Track & Field Talent

East Stroudsburg, PA — On Saturday, January 4th, East Stroudsburg University hosted its Annual Warrior Classic High School Indoor Meet at Koehler Field House. With 72 teams competing from across Southeastern, Central, and Northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as New Jersey, the event delivered a thrilling day of competition, highlighting standout athletes and dominant performances.

Representatives from Districts 2, 3, and 11 excelled, frequently placing in the top three in their events, showcasing the region's depth of talent.


Men’s Events Highlights

55-Meter Hurdles: Jhaven Sims-Pagan (Scranton) delivered a commanding performance, securing first place with a winning time of 8.10 seconds.

55-Meter Dash: Timothy Leonard (Wilkes-Barre Area) dominated his event, clinching gold with a swift 6.58 seconds.

200-Meter Dash: Jereal Moore (Pleasant Valley) took the crown in 23.87 seconds, holding off tough competition.

High Jump: Parkland’s Jaden Bulgin soared above the field, claiming first with a jump of 6 feet, 2 inches.

Shot Put: Tom Fiorelli (Valley View) delivered a standout throw of 49 feet, 8 inches, earning him a decisive victory.


Women’s Events Highlights

Triple Jump: Tomara Seid (Abington Heights) dazzled in the triple jump, securing first place with a leap of 34 feet, 11 ¾ inches.

Pole Vault: Katie Skirpan (Western Wayne) cleared an impressive height of 10 feet, taking home the win.

4x200 Relay: Parkland’s relay team outpaced their competition, earning gold with a time of 1:50.97.

In the men’s 4x200 relay, Wilkes-Barre Area edged out Parkland by a single second, clocking in at 1:38.33.

Parkland’s women’s relay squad exhibited poise and speed, leading District 11’s dominance in the event.
