SCOTT TWP. — Valley View put together a complete performance Friday night at Lakeland, shutting out Mid Valley 8-0 in District 32 11U All-Star pool play.
Talon Prutzman led the charge at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 and driving in five runs, including a two-RBI single in the first that sparked Valley View’s early momentum. Bryce Warnetsky added a pair of RBIs, while Kody Malinowski helped his own cause with a run-scoring single.
Malinowski started on the mound and delivered four scoreless innings, scattering two hits and striking out three. Elio Brunori came on in relief, tossing two shutout frames and sealing the win with a game-ending double play.
Valley View’s defense was rock-solid all night, turning two double plays and committing no errors. Warnetsky anchored the infield with six defensive stops.
Mid Valley’s offense was led by Gabe Zuraski, who went 2-for-3 out of the leadoff spot. Zuraski also started on the hill, striking out one and allowing six runs over 2.2 innings.
With the win, Valley View continues to build momentum in District 32 pool play, riding strong pitching, aggressive baserunning, and clutch hitting into their next matchup.
