At John Henzes Veterans Memorial Stadium, Valley View made Senior Night one to remember, defeating Delaware Valley 2-1 to complete a season sweep in identical fashion to their first matchup earlier this fall.
Delaware Valley struck first when Jason Nagy buried a penalty kick at the 33:14 mark of the first half. The Cougars quickly countered as Jagger Roe rose up for a header off a well placed ball from Ethan Namlick at 7:28, sending the match into halftime tied 1-1.
In the second half, Sophomore Braden Loff delivered the game-winner with an assist from Luke Stevens. Shielding off a defender near the right post, Loff struck a perfectly placed shot that kissed off the inside of the left side of the goal and into the net at 18:29, putting Valley View ahead for good.
Goalkeeper Aidan Kopa anchored the defense with eight saves, while Delaware Valley’s Shane Kirk kept the Warriors close with nine stops.
