MOSCOW — It was homecoming, alumni night, and a whiteout at Trojans Stadium—and the place was rocking. From the roaring student section to both bands battling in the stands, North Pocono made sure its community celebration came with plenty to cheer about on the field, staying unbeaten with a statement win over Dallas.
Game Recap
Dallas looked sharp early, driving into the red zone on its opening possession. But on 4th down, quarterback Talan Geskey was picked off in the end zone by Max LaFave, ending the drive and flipping momentum to the Trojans.
North Pocono capitalized behind quarterback Chase Zimmerman, who was efficient and dangerous in space. Zimmerman went 6-for-9 passing for 169 yards with a touchdown strike to West, while also running in a score himself.
The night, though, belonged to Joe Briskie. Facing the same opponent against whom his 2024 season ended with an injury, Briskie erupted for three touchdowns, pounding the ball behind a dominant offensive line. After the game, Briskie admitted he had been “hoping for a beat down,” though he quickly gave all credit to his linemen for setting the tone.
Dallas tried to spark a rally out of halftime, recovering an onside kick to open the third quarter. But on the very first play of that drive, the Trojans struck again, snagging a second interception of the night to stall the Mountaineers once more. Geskey finished with 53 passing yards and those two costly turnovers, as Dallas fell to 1–5.
Atmosphere
The energy in Moscow was unmistakable. A homecoming whiteout student section brought constant noise, both bands kept the crowd engaged with dueling sounds, and alumni filled the stands and joined the band for one of the liveliest nights of the season.
