THROOP, PA – The Dunmore Lady Bucks secured a dominant 54-33 victory over the Mid Valley Spartanettes on Monday night, led by a sensational 31-point performance from Sophia Talutto.
Dunmore took control early, overcoming a one-point deficit after the first quarter and outscoring Mid Valley 16-6 in the second to take a commanding lead into halftime. Talutto was unstoppable, sinking 13 field goals, including three from beyond the arc, to pace the Lady Bucks' offense. She also contributed two free throws to round out her game-high 31 points.
Leena Conte provided strong support for Dunmore, adding 11 points, while Amanda Dempsey and Michelle Nidoh chipped in with six apiece. The Lady Bucks were efficient from the field, converting 22 field goals, and capitalized on free-throw opportunities, sinking seven of 13 attempts.
Mid Valley struggled to keep up offensively, managing only 33 points. Krista Cortazar led the Spartanettes with 10 points, knocking down two three-pointers. Mackenzie Adolfson followed with eight points, while Elise Larson contributed six. Despite a solid first quarter, Mid Valley's offense faltered, scoring just 20 points over the final three quarters combined.
Dunmore's defensive pressure and Talutto’s offensive fireworks proved too much for Mid Valley, as the Lady Bucks extended their winning streak in commanding fashion.
