Susquehanna 46, Lackawanna Trail 33 – A dominant second quarter powered Susquehanna to a road victory over Lackawanna Trail in a Lackawanna League Division III matchup on Tuesday night.
Mason Keyes led the Sabers with 12 points, knocking down four three-pointers to fuel the offense. Jaxon Downton added 9 points, all from beyond the arc, helping Susquehanna to a 7-for-17 performance from three-point range.
Lackawanna Trail’s Jimmy Phillips paced his team with 10 points, while Lucas Filipek and Jake Antolick each contributed 6. The Lions struggled from deep, managing just one three-pointer in the game.
After a tight first quarter, Susquehanna outscored Lackawanna Trail 18-8 in the second, creating a lead they never relinquished. The Sabers' perimeter shooting and steady defense sealed the win, improving their record to 6-13 (3-8 in league play). Lackawanna Trail drops to 10-9 (7-4).
