Former Boston University standout Sukhmail Mathon has officially signed with KK Krka, one of Slovenia’s most respected professional basketball clubs. The 6’10” forward/center joins the team for the 2025–26 season, competing in both the Slovenian First League and the ABA League.
Mathon spent the 2024–25 season in Lithuania, playing for M Basket Mažeikiai and later Juventus Utena. Over 18 games, he averaged 10.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists, while shooting 56.3% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.
Before turning pro, Mathon played five seasons at Boston University (2017–2022), where he was named Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior. That year, he posted averages of 15.1 points and 10.2 rebounds, cementing himself as one of the league’s top frontcourt players.
As someone who trains Sukhmail during the offseason, I can speak directly to his work ethic. He approaches every workout with focus, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to improving. His year-to-year development is a product of consistent effort — built on the details, not shortcuts.
KK Krka is getting a smart, efficient, and dependable professional. More importantly, they’re getting someone who never stops finding ways to elevate his game.
