The St. John Neumann Golden Knights picked up a statement victory on the road Tuesday night, overpowering the Northwest Rangers, 19-10. Despite a hot start from the home team, Neumann’s explosive offense proved too much to contain.

Northwest jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning, putting the pressure on the Golden Knights. But St. John Neumann responded in a big way, stringing together three dominant innings to seize control of the game. A five-run third inning gave them a 6-5 lead, and another five in the fourth gave them the lead for good. The Knights didn’t let up, tacking on six more in the sixth to break things wide open.

The Golden Knights finished with 8 hits and showcased their aggressive base running with 5 stolen bases.

Avery Taddeo led the charge at the plate, going 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Nolan Fagnano and Andrew Walter each delivered timely hits, driving in three runs apiece and crossing the plate twice themselves. Gino Birch was a sparkplug on the base paths, scoring four runs to keep the offense rolling.

On the other side, the Rangers racked up 7 hits of their own but struggled defensively, which allowed the Golden Knights to capitalize on key opportunities and extend innings.

The win marks a big momentum boost for St. John Neumann as they continue to find rhythm midway through the season, while Northwest looks to bounce back and tighten things up defensively in their next outing.
