ARCHBALD, PA, October 2025  SportzWire, one of the fastest growing regional sports media networks, has officially partnered with Riverside High School to launch the first full scale SportzWire School Media Program. The partnership kicked off this week as SportzWire’s leadership team met with an enthusiastic group of Riverside students ready to dive into photography, videography, journalism, digital graphics, and live broadcasting.

This new program represents a key step in SportzWire’s mission to mentor and empower students across the region, giving them hands on experience in the world of sports media. Students will learn how to capture, create, and share the stories of their school’s athletes and teams while developing real world skills and professional portfolios.

Real Experience. Real Coverage. Real Impact.

The Riverside student media team will handle full coverage of school athletics, producing photos, highlight videos, feature stories, digital graphics, and even live game broadcasts. With students taking on play by play commentary and sideline reporting, fans will be able to experience games through the voices of their own community.

Building the Future of Sports Media

“This is what SportzWire is all about,” said Co Owner Carrie Miner Yaple. “We’re giving students a platform to find their voice and develop their skills while connecting their school community through creative storytelling. SportzWire is building communities one student at a time.”

Co Owner Brad Loff added, “Riverside is the perfect place to start this vision. These students are motivated and talented, and this program gives them a chance to experience what it’s like to work in real sports media, covering every moment from the field to the final whistle. The support from the Riverside administration has been like no other. Their enthusiasm for giving students this opportunity truly sets the tone for success.”

SportzWire’s Tony Sibilla of Penn Sports Radio, who will assist students with game prep, broadcasting, and technical setup, praised the first session’s energy. “Their excitement was incredible to see,” said Sibilla. “These students are pioneers for what we hope to build with schools across the region.”

Riverside School District Superintendent Mr. Brennan shared his excitement for the program, saying, “Riverside students are going behind the scenes of the sports media world. Thanks to our new partnership with SportzWire, Riverside Viking Nation students and teachers are getting a front row seat to the real world of sports media, design, and storytelling. From capturing game highlights to creating professional level graphics and interviews, our kids are learning the same tools and techniques used by professionals, and the results have been incredible. This collaboration is giving students access to cutting edge media resources, hands on experiences, and the confidence to bring their creative ideas to life. When students get to see their stories come alive on screen, they don’t just learn technology, they learn voice, teamwork, and leadership. Huge thanks to SportzWire for working directly with our students and staff to make this happen.”

As the Riverside partnership begins, SportzWire plans to expand the program to additional schools, continuing to offer young creators opportunities to learn, lead, and produce meaningful work within the growing world of digital sports media.
