The Lady Blue Devils rolled into Magis Field with one goal—advance. And they did just that in dominant fashion.
Old Forge put on a complete team performance Friday afternoon, shutting out Forest City 10-0 in the District 2 Class 1A semifinals. The mercy-rule win in five innings sends the Blue Devils to the championship game, where they’ll face either Holy Cross or Susquehanna with a district crown on the line.
Ava Arnold got things cooking early with a two-run double in the first, followed by a deep sac fly from Mia Fox to make it 3-0. In the second, the Devils broke it wide open with RBI hits from Kate O’Hearn and Kamryn Notari, plus a bases-loaded walk drawn by Juliette DeStefano.
Notari wasn’t just raking—she was dealing. The freshman ace threw a one-hit gem over five innings, striking out three and walking two to silence the Lady Foresters.
O’Hearn stuffed the stat sheet with two hits, two RBIs, and two stolen bases. Joselyn DeStefano added two knocks of her own, while Caroline Revello also drove in a pair of runs as the Devils drew seven walks and never let up.
Forest City’s lone hit came off the bat of Ashley Bossick, but the rest of the afternoon belonged to Old Forge.
This team rides as one—every dugout chant, every cheer, every moment. Their chemistry isn’t just real, it looks unstoppable.
