Under the lights of PNC Field, Crestwood staged a dramatic comeback, scoring eight runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Dallas 11-5 on Wednesday night.

Down 4-0 after two innings and reeling from a tough loss to Hazleton Area the day before, the Comets found their spark late. A flurry of hits and a few costly Dallas miscues allowed Crestwood to explode for an eight-run seventh inning and complete the comeback.

Dallas jumped out early behind RBI hits from Brady Youngblood, Kaden Coyne, and Dominic Zangardi. Youngblood drove in two with a single in the first, followed by Coyne and Zangardi knocking in runs in the second to build a 4-0 lead.

Crestwood began to chip away in the fifth when Zack Stavish drove in Connor Wagaman to make it 4-1. After Jack Leandri’s sacrifice fly extended Dallas’s lead to 5-1 in the bottom half of the inning, Crestwood answered with a two-run single from Chase Gaella, cutting the deficit to 5-3.

The seventh inning proved decisive. The rally began with a bunt single from Dylan Domzalski, and Crestwood never looked back. Josh Mylet’s RBI single made it 5-4, Chris Litchkofski tied the game, and Caleb McManus gave the Comets their first lead of the night. Gaella added another RBI, Jack Rodgers brought in another run with a sac fly, and Domzalski and Wagaman helped tack on three more, pushing the lead to 11-5.

Jake Feisel entered in relief and shut the door, tossing a clean seventh to earn the win.

Crestwood Highlights:

  • Chase Gaella: 3-for-4, 3 RBIs

  • Caleb McManus: 3-for-4, 2 runs

  • Jake Feisel: 3 IP, 1 R, win in relief

  • Crestwood tallied 18 hits in the victory

Dallas Highlights:

  • Kaden Coyne: 3-for-4, RBI

  • Brady Youngblood: 2-for-4, 2 RBIs

  • Dominic Zangardi: 5.2 IP, 6 K

Dallas will look to bounce back quickly with a road matchup at Greater Nanticoke Area on Thursday.
