Scranton Prep Outpaces Wallenpaupack with Balanced Offense, Wins 78-56

Hawley, PA -- Scranton Prep delivered a strong team performance to defeat Wallenpaupack 78-56 on February 14. The Cavaliers were powered by standout scoring from Packy Doherty, who led the team with 19 points, while Brycen Martin and Ambrose Rossi contributed 18 points each. Their sharpshooting beyond the arc was evident as they hit seven three-pointers.
For Wallenpaupack, Justin Blanding stood out as the top scorer, netting an impressive 25 points, including three three-pointers. Drew Kiesendahl also added 14 points, with two three-pointers. Despite their efforts, the Buckhorns struggled to keep pace with Scranton Prep’s relentless offense and efficient shooting.
Both teams matched each other with seven three-pointers, but Scranton Prep's superior field goal shooting (32 field goals compared to Wallenpaupack’s 18) proved to be the decisive factor. The Cavaliers also capitalized on free throw opportunities, making seven of their ten attempts.
With this win, Scranton Prep improves to 16-6 overall and 13-1 in league play, while Wallenpaupack falls to 11-11 on the season.
