Bethlehem, PA – March 15, 2025

Scranton Prep’s season came to a tough end Saturday night as the Classics fell to Neumann-Goretti, 59-48, in the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals. Despite trailing by just one point entering the fourth quarter, Prep couldn’t hold off a 10-0 run by the Saints, who pulled away late to secure the win.

Senior Maya Jenkins led the Classics (25-2) with 22 points, including three three-pointers. Chloe Mamera added 14 points, while Bella Dennebaum chipped in six. Scranton Prep battled throughout the night but struggled to keep pace in the final period as Neumann-Goretti capitalized at the free-throw line, hitting 17 of 23 attempts. The Saints were led by Amya Scott, Carryn Easley, and Regina Baker, who each scored 18 points.

The loss marks the end of another successful season for Scranton Prep, a program built on a tradition of excellence and a strong culture under head coach Bob Beviglia. The senior-heavy group played a crucial role in upholding that standard, leaving behind a lasting impact. While this season ends here, the foundation remains strong for future Classics to carry the legacy forward.
