NEW TRIPOLI, PA  – Scranton Prep caught fire from beyond the arc and used an 18-0 second-half run to dismantle Northwestern Lehigh 75-48 in the PIAA Class 4A first round. The Cavaliers were led by Packy Doherty (25 points) and Brycen Martin (26 points), who each drained five three-pointers to fuel the offensive explosion.

Prep’s outside shooting was the difference, as the team racked up 12 total threes and outscored Northwestern Lehigh 39-19 in the second half. After a competitive first half, the Cavaliers turned up the pressure after the break, dominating both ends of the floor.

For the Tigers, Gavin Nelson led the way with 18 points, while Eli Zimmerman added 9. Despite staying within reach early, Northwestern Lehigh struggled to keep pace with Prep’s relentless attack from deep.

With the win, Scranton Prep advances to the PIAA 4A second round, carrying momentum after an elite shooting performance.
