Samec, Buchala Take Sprint Titles; Watral Wins Super Sprint at Beware of the Barracuda

At the 2025 Beware of the Barracuda Triathlon held September 27 at Eagle Rock Resort in Hazleton, Timmy Samec clocked ~1:19 to win the men’s Sprint division, while Alexis Buchala finished ~1:25 to top the women’s Sprint field.
In the Super Sprint, Danny Watral claimed the male overall with a time of 45:28. The female winner in the Super Sprint was noted in organizer social media posts but is not confirmed in the publicly posted timing sheets as of now.
The event drew strong participation, reportedly setting a new record turnout of approximately 185 athletes. Detailed breakdowns by age group, split times, and full results have not yet been published on the official timing or results pages
