In a nail-biting battle that came down to the wire, Penn State Wilkes-Barre Lady Mountain Lions fell short to Penn State Mont Alto, losing 55-46. With the playoffs on the line, this is a tough loss for Wilkes-Barre, who fought valiantly but count not quite finish.

Wilkes-Barre was led by #23 Karma Paez, who put up 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and swiped 2 steals. Number 11, Jaidyn Kotch, contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Despite their efforts, the team struggled with turnovers, missed opportunities, and staying in front of Mont Alto's leading scorer, Dariana Perez.

On the other side, Mont Alto's Dariana Perez was a standout scoring 21 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal, proving to be a dominant force both offensively and on the boards. Shanez Morales added 12 points, 3 steals, 1 assist and 2 rebounds, helping Mont Alto to secure the victory.

The game was a tough loss for Wilkes-Barre, who has been battling for a playoff spot all season. Though they played hard and showed great effort, it was Mont Alto's strong defensive plays and consistent scoring that ultimately secured the win. As Wilkes-Barre looks ahead to the rest of the season, they will have to regroup quickly and stay focused on their playoff hopes. The fight is far from over, and with players like Paez and Kotch leading the charge, Wilkes-Barre will be looking to bounce back and continue their pursuit of postseason play.
