Player Spotlight: Brett Yanoski – A Star on the Field, in the Classroom, and Beyond

In the heart of the Mid Valley Spartans' football program stands a young man who exemplifies excellence in every aspect of his life—Brett Yanoski. A standout athlete, a high-achieving student, and a leader in his community, Yanoski is the kind of player every coach dreams of having on their team.

As the Spartans’ starting quarterback, Yanoski has established himself as a cornerstone of the team. His skill, football IQ, and leadership are unmatched, according to Offensive Coordinator/QB's Coach George Pachucy.

“He’s a big-time quarterback,” said Pachucy. “He knows the offense better than anyone on the planet other than myself. He’s a great leader and hard worker. Young guys look up to him, and older kids know he’s the guy and follow him.”

Yanoski’s abilities extend beyond football. On the baseball diamond, he shines as a first baseman, proving his versatility as an athlete. However, his impact isn’t confined to sports.

A high honors student, Yanoski balances the rigorous demands of being a multi-sport athlete with his academic pursuits. He is also actively involved in student council as the Junior Class President, where he contributes to various community service initiatives that make a difference in the lives of others.

“Brett is a dream player to coach,” Pachucy shared. “He does everything you ask of him. But beyond sports, he’s a great kid. I hope my son ends up like him, genuinely.”

In addition to his roles on the football field and in the classroom, Yanoski serves his community in another unique way—officiating basketball and football games, just like his father, Stan, Head Coach for the Mid Valley Spartans football team. His dedication to youth sports shows his commitment to giving back and helping develop the next generation of athletes.

With a new football season on the horizon, expectations for Yanoski are sky-high. As a player who consistently delivers on and off the field, he has earned the trust and admiration of his teammates, coaches, and the entire Mid Valley community.

“We expect very big things from him this upcoming football season,” Pachucy said. “He’s the type of player and person that elevates everyone around him.”

For Brett Yanoski, the future is as bright as the Friday night lights he plays under. Whether he’s leading the Spartans to victory, excelling in the classroom, or serving his community, Yanoski continues to set the standard for what it means to be a true student-athlete.
