In an unexpected and thrilling upset, Penn State Wilkes-Barre Men took down the #1 seed Penn State Mont Alto, 72-64, at home on Tuesday night. This victory came as redemption for Wilkes-Barre, who had previously fallen to Mont Alto on January 14th with a 91-70 loss on the road. After a hard-fought battle and win against Mont Alto, Wilkes-Barre moved to the 5th seed, while Mont Alto slipped to the 2nd seed in the standings.
Wilkes-Barre was led by an outstanding performance by #13 Jedidiah Ashton, who tallied a game high 22 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. Christopher Killings chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds, playing a key role in the the victory.
