The Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association (PAHSSBCA) has officially released its 2025 All-State Team, spotlighting the top high school talent across the state. As expected, Districts 2 and 4 once again proved to be powerhouses, flooding the list with elite-level performers and postseason award winners.
District 2 stole the headlines with Valley View’s Kalli Karwowski named Class 4A Player of the Year after another exceptional campaign at shortstop. Cougars teammate Taylor Cawley earned First Team honors in the circle, while Abbi Call secured a First Team Utility spot—cementing Valley View’s dominance.
Tunkhannock Area delivered another impressive showing, with McKenzie Hannon (First Team Pitcher) and Erin Van Ness (First Team Third Base) leading the way. Addisyn Waterman (Second Team Second Base) and Taryn Newswanger (Second Team Outfield) also earned recognition for the Tigers. Nina Barrouk of Dallas joined them on the Second Team as a standout 4A pitcher.
Abington Heights’ Lauren Stalica was named the Class 5A Pitcher of the Year, while fellow Comet Adrianna Condradwas awarded First Team at First Base. Senior Hunter Kresge earned the PAHSSBCA Courage Award for her inspiring return from injury. In 5A, Alyssa Lynch of North Pocono made First Team First Base, while Marina Antal (First Team Third Base) and Samantha Herbert (Second Team Utility) represented Pittston Area.
Mid Valley shined in Class 3A with Ava Hazelton (First Team Pitcher), Mackenzie Adolfson (First Team Catcher), Parker Bennett (Second Team Second Base), and Krista Cortazar (Second Team Third Base) all making the cut. Lake-Lehman’s duo of Kirsten Finarelli (First Team Catcher) and Hannah Chipego (Second Team Pitcher) also cracked the list, along with Kaitlyn Brudnicki (First Team Second Base).
In Class 2A, Dunmore’s Rachel Walsh secured Second Team Third Base. Western Wayne’s Hannah Destefano was named First Team Utility. From Hazleton Area, Kayla Lagowy earned Second Team Shortstop honors, and Mia Tallo of West Scranton claimed a spot on the Class 6A Second Team at Catcher.
Holy Cross led the way in Class 1A, with Mia Galella earning Player of the Year and First Team First Base. Ava Schmidt (First Team Pitcher), Peyton Graboske (Second Team Catcher), Lila Kolcharno (Second Team Second Base), and Claire Helring (Second Team Outfield) gave the Crusaders five total selections.
Holy Redeemer was also well represented in Class 2A, with Zoe Pecuch (First Team First Base), Abby Williams(Second Team Shortstop), and Mary Lombardi (Second Team Outfield) all honored.
From District 4, Loyalsock’s Easton Waller (First Team Shortstop) and Sofia Mileto (First Team Outfield) headlined a strong Class 3A showing. Hughesville’s Madelynne Smith joined them as a First Team Shortstop, while Maura Woland(Warrior Run) earned Second Team Shortstop.
In Class 2A, Elk Lake’s Leah Traver (First Team Shortstop) and Marissa Horn (Second Team Pitcher) continued their postseason haul. South Williamsport stood out with Kendall Cardone (First Team Third Base), Lily Reidy (Second Team Catcher), Gianna Goodman (Second Team Shortstop), and Alizabeth Schuler (First Team Utility). MycKenna Kublo of Montrose Area also secured a Second Team Catcher selection.
In Class 6A, Ashlyn Robinson (First Team First Base) and Brenna Beck (Second Team Shortstop) earned honors for Williamsport.
Once again, Districts 2 and 4 proved to be rich in softball excellence, with a deep roster of talent that will continue to shine at the next level.
