The 2025 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Boys Basketball Teams have landed—and the noise from Districts 2, 11, and 4 is impossible to ignore. From seasoned vets to breakout freshmen, these hoopers lit it up all season long and earned their names among the best in the state.

Let’s break down the squad:

---

1st Team Ballers

Class 2A

Jozshua Miner – Northwest Area (Senior)

Call him a bucket. Miner led District 4 in scoring with 20.9 PPG, took the Rangers to a 26-4 record, a District 4 title, and all the way to the state semifinals. A certified problem all season.

Class 3A

Michael Hughes – Holy Cross (Senior)

Back-to-back First Team nods for the Holy Cross vet. Hughes dropped 15.4 a night and was the steady force behind the Crusaders’ playoff push.

Nico Antoniacci – Riverside (Freshman)

Freshman?! Yeah, and a First Team one. Antoniacci came in torching—20.4 PPG, 25 wins, and a District 2 crown and Lackawanna League MVP. The future? It’s now.

Class A

Trey Keating – Nativity BVM (Junior)

Two-time First Teamer, and for good reason. Keating led all of Class A in scoring (25.7 PPG), splashed 88% from the line, and filled the stat sheet with boards, dimes, and steals.

---

2nd Team Standouts

Class A

Jacob Lewis – Lehigh Christian Academy (Senior)

Numbers don’t lie—31.8 PPG, over 2,000 career points, and straight-up dominance every time he stepped on the court.

Gabe Transue – Bethlehem Christian (Junior)

A walking double-double. 23.9 points, 11.6 boards, nearly 4 assists—and oh yeah, he racked up 77 steals. Complete player.

Class 4A

Jahrel Vigo – Allentown Central Catholic (Senior)

The leader of the Vikes’ 23-5 season. Vigo brought energy, experience, and production every night in a championship-level campaign.

Class 6A

Adrian Brito – Pocono Mountain West (Senior)

17.2 points, 10 boards, 3 blocks, and a 60% field goal clip? Brito was a beast—and the Pocono Record’s Player of the Year made sure every game was his court.

---

3rd Team Heavy Hitters

Class A

Preston Protheroe – Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg (Senior)

50-piece alert. Protheroe broke records with a 50-point night this season and showed he can fill it up from anywhere.

Class 2A

Cameron Parker – Old Forge (Junior)

The quiet killer. Parker’s 15.3 PPG was the engine behind Old Forge’s run to a district chip and a deep state playoff trip.

Class 3A

Matt Lyons – Holy Cross (Senior)

The 6'6" floor general. Lyons put up nearly 15 per game and gave defenders nightmares with his length and skill.

Jace Yedsena – Mahanoy Area (Senior)

Over 1,000 career points and 18.4 a night this season. Jace led by example on both ends of the court.

Tanner Zawada – Mahanoy Area (Senior)

Zawada matched his teammate’s excellence with 17.3 PPG and filled up the stat sheet in every category. Third straight All-State nod for the senior.

Class 4A

Luke Kopetchny – Wyoming Area (Sophomore)

The breakout. Averaged 21.0 and led the Warriors to their first WVC Division 2 title since 1971. Sophomore numbers, veteran swagger.

Brycen Martin – Scranton Prep (Senior)

Lights out from deep and a steady scorer at 17.3 PPG. Martin helped carry Prep to a Lackawanna League crown and a state playoff trip.

Class 5A

Robby Lucas – Abington Heights (Senior)

Mr. Reliable. Lucas capped off his career with 18.2 a game and joined Comet royalty as the 7th All-State pick in program history.

Respect Earned. Hype Deserved.

From state champs to record breakers, these guys showed up when it mattered most. Congratulations to every All-State selection for putting in the work and repping their districts to the fullest.
