OLD FORGE – The Old Forge Blue Devils came out firing and never let up, putting on a dominant performance to cruise past Sayre 63-31 in the first round of the PIAA 2A Boys State Tournament at Old Forge High School.

From the opening tip, Old Forge controlled the pace, jumping out to a 40-16 lead by halftime. The Blue Devils’ hot shooting from beyond the arc was the difference, as they drained nine three-pointers on the night. Leading the charge was Cameron Parker, who poured in 22 points, including four from deep, while Camren Krushnowski added 11 points, knocking down three triples of his own.

Sayre struggled to find offensive rhythm against Old Forge’s aggressive defense and couldn’t keep up from long range, hitting just two threes in the game. Ryan Ressler led the Redskins with eight points, while Hudson Trump chipped in seven.

At the free-throw line, Old Forge was efficient, hitting six of their nine attempts. Their balanced attack and relentless energy made it clear they weren’t just playing to win—they were making a statement.

With the win, the Blue Devils move on in the state tournament face Delco Christian Wednesday, looking to carry their momentum into the next round. If their shooting stays this sharp, they’ll be a tough team to stop.
