North Pocono rolled to a convincing 7-1 win over Wallenpaupack on Saturday, thanks to a strong start and a standout performance in the circle.
The Lady Trojans got things going early as Alyssa Lynch grounded out to bring in a run in the first. They broke the game open in the second when Cameron Forgione launched a two-run homer to left field, giving North Pocono a 3-0 lead.
In the third, Riley Grambo’s RBI single and a bases-loaded walk by Olivia Charles continued to apply pressure, stretching the lead even further.
Areilla Bell was lights out on the mound, going the distance with seven innings of work. The right-hander allowed just one run on six hits, striking out eight and walking three to earn the win.
Offensively, North Pocono racked up 10 hits, with Lynch and Isabella Forgione each notching multiple hits to lead the charge.
Clara Babyak took the loss for Wallenpaupack, giving up seven runs on 10 hits across six innings.
