SCRANTON, PA — Blue and White pride is heading to the Electric City this weekend as the Nittany Lion Summer Impact Camp rolls into Riverfront Sports on Saturday, July 19th. Hosted in partnership with Penn State Football, the one-day youth clinic is already generating serious buzz across Northeast Pennsylvania — and with registration now full, anticipation is at an all-time high.

The camp is designed to offer a hands-on, high-energy experience for student-athletes entering grades 5 through 8, with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and inspiration. Check-in begins at 10 a.m., followed by the clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where young athletes will receive instruction from a blend of Penn State staff, players, and local guest coaches.

While the camp itself is closed to additional participants due to overwhelming interest, the message behind the event is clear: Penn State is investing in youth development and community connection right here in Scranton.

The event is part of Penn State Football’s Summer Impact 2025 Tour, which aims to bring the spirit and values of the program to cities across Pennsylvania. Scranton — with its strong football roots and vibrant youth sports culture — was a natural stop.

Support from partners such as Riverfront Sports, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allied Services, Northeast Rehab, Fidelity Bank, PNC, and others underscores the community-wide commitment to giving the next generation of athletes an unforgettable experience.

As campers gear up for Saturday, excitement is building not only around drills and autographs — but also around the belief that every athlete, no matter where they’re from, has the potential to make an impact.
