VALLEY VIEW — It was a day to remember at Elkview Country Club as golfer Morgan Chilek delivered one of the rarest feats in the game. Chilek aced the par-3 ninth hole during a tri-match against Scranton Prep and Elk Lake.
Using a six iron from 120 yards, Chilek struck her shot with perfect precision. The ball carried over the front bunker, took a soft bounce, and rolled straight into the cup for a hole-in-one. The celebration quickly followed, as teammates, coaches, and fellow competitors recognized the incredible achievement.
Congratulations to Freshman Morgan Chilek! Morgan had her first career hole-in-one on hole 9 at Elkview Country Club, and she wasn’t done there. She also chipped in for birdie on hole 6, adding another highlight to her round. Even more impressive, this was the first hole-in-one during competitive play in Valley View Girls Golf history. Great job Morgan!
Hole-in-ones are a once-in-a-lifetime milestone for many golfers, and to do it in competitive play made it even more special. For Chilek, it was a moment that blended preparation, skill, and a touch of magic.
As the teams wrapped up their tri-match, the buzz around Elkview centered on Chilek’s swing on the ninth tee. Golf may often be about grinding out pars and finding consistency, but every now and then, it delivers unforgettable highlights. On this day, Morgan Chilek owned the spotlight.
