The Moosic 9-10 All Stars put together a well-rounded performance on Wednesday evening, earning a 12-2 victory over a hardworking NP Jefferson 8-9-10 All Stars team at 140 Ackerly Road. From timely hits to strong pitching and smart base running, Moosic executed across all phases, but both teams showed heart and hustle throughout.

Team Play Sparks Early Momentum

Moosic jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning. Nathan T opened the scoring with a two-run single, followed by heads-up baserunning and a groundout RBI from Beau C to make it 4-0. Despite the score, NP Jefferson kept their energy up and made competitive plays defensively.

In the second inning, Daniel G drew a bases-loaded walk to add another run. The third inning saw Moosic add four more as Luke B, Grayson L, Bryce C, and Caden C each contributed to the scoring effort with well-placed hits and productive outs.

Pitching by Committee Shows Strength

Nathan T got the start on the mound for Moosic and was steady, striking out five over 2.1 innings while giving up only one hit. Grayson L followed in relief, holding things down and keeping the game moving with two strikeouts of his own. Together, they combined to limit a tough NP Jefferson lineup to two hits.

NP Jefferson countered with Jaxsen M, Ryan P, and Alex B on the hill. Each pitcher worked through pressure situations and continued to battle every at-bat. Jaxsen led off and allowed just one earned run over two innings, while Ryan and Alex showed strong effort in relief.

Contributions Across the Board

Moosic’s offense was spread throughout the lineup. Seven different players recorded hits, with Nathan T, Mitchell L, Luke B, and Grayson L among those driving in runs. Mitchell also stole two bases as part of Moosic’s six total on the night. Defensively, both teams made plays under pressure, including several tough outs that limited big innings.

NP Jefferson made the most of their opportunities at the plate. Henry T had a strong showing with a hit and a run, and Jaxsen M added another base knock. Lucas M, Noah M, and Nathan P were aggressive on the bases and helped generate scoring chances.

Respect on Both Sides

While Moosic came away with the win, NP Jefferson played with grit and positivity throughout. They worked counts, made contact, and showed great sportsmanship—a true sign of what All-Star baseball is about.

Next Game: Moosic 9-10 will travel to face Dunmore LL 10-Year-Old All Stars on Friday.
