Mid Valley Little League Softball Minors earned a big win on Saturday with a 16-0 victory over Mountain Top, showcasing great teamwork, strong pitching, and discipline at the plate during the three-inning matchup.
Quinn B led the way offensively, driving in four runs and collecting two hits, including key RBI singles in both the second and third innings. She also drew a walk to help kick off the scoring in the first.
Mid Valley scored three runs in the first before exploding for nine in the second inning. Leah P delivered a bases-clearing triple, and Adaline O chipped in with two hits and two RBIs. Brooke P, Brielle D, and Emma F all helped bring in runs during the second frame. In the third, Mid Valley added four more to seal the game, with contributions across the entire lineup.
Grace E pitched all three innings, holding Mountain Top scoreless while striking out seven and allowing only two hits in a confident performance in the circle. She kept hitters off balance throughout and was backed by solid fielding from her teammates.
Mid Valley showed great patience at the plate, drawing 17 walks and staying focused through every at-bat. The defense played error-free, with Brooke P making several clean plays behind the plate.
Mountain Top stayed engaged and played hard from start to finish. Ryleigh G and Sami P each recorded hits, and the team remained active on the bases and alert in the field. Madison T had several clean plays defensively, helping to steady her team behind the plate.
Both teams demonstrated good sportsmanship and continue to improve each game as they gain experience and confidence on the field.
