Dickson City — Mid Valley brought the firepower on Sunday afternoon, putting together a monster second inning and riding strong pitching to a dominant 13-2 victory over Wayne Highlands in District 32 11/12U action.
Fueled by a 7-run outburst in the second frame and a 4-RBI performance from Kellen Hughes, Mid Valley quickly took control and never looked back in a game that showcased clean defense, smart baserunning, and timely swings from a team on a mission.
Mid Valley’s Offensive Showcase
Kellen stole the show, going 2-for-2 with four RBIs—knocking in two in the first inning and two more in the second during the team’s explosive rally.
Mason Tuft delivered on both sides—2 hits, 1 RBI, and 2.1 innings of one-hit baseball on the mound with 3 strikeouts to earn the win.
Brennan Mitchell stayed hot at the plate with two hits and an RBI, while Mason Perez, Brendan Thatcher, and James Rabel all chipped in key run-scoring swings during the second inning surge.
