Max V’s Monster Day Leads Abington All Stars 12U to 13-0 Victory Over Moosic LL All-Stars

Abington All Stars 12U put together a strong showing on Saturday, July 5, defeating the Moosic Little League (MLL) 11-12 All-Stars by a score of 13-0 in a game that featured timely hitting, excellent pitching, and clean defense.

The game remained scoreless through the first inning before Abington’s bats came alive in the second. Lucas D (#20) drove in the first run with a single, followed by a two-run groundout by Jaxon H (#24) to make it 3-0. The third inning proved decisive as Abington exploded for six runs. Max V (#22) launched a three-run home run to left, Lucas D added an RBI double, Oliver G (#2) singled in another run, and a fielding play brought in the sixth run.

Max V delivered again in the fourth inning with a two-run double, capping his standout offensive performance. He went 2-for-3 with five RBIs, a home run, a double, and six total bases.

In total, Abington collected 13 hits. Lucas D and Julian M (#9) each went 2-for-2, while Dylan L (#4), Justin J (#11), and Penn E (#47) also contributed doubles. Oliver G and Patrick K (#8) each added base hits in a team-wide offensive effort.

On the mound, Max V was dominant, pitching four shutout innings. He scattered three hits, didn’t issue a walk, and struck out nine. He threw 44 strikes on 56 pitches and didn’t allow a single run, earning the win.

Moosic Little League was held to three hits, but they made the most of their opportunities. Mason L (#26) doubled, while Wyatt D (#11) and Nicky P (#50) each added singles. Defensively, MLL also played a clean game with no errors. Nicky P, who caught behind the plate, led the team with five fielding chances.

Nathan E (#2) started for Moosic and struck out five over 3.1 innings. Nicky P came on in relief and recorded two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning without allowing a run.

Both teams showed hustle, effort, and sportsmanship throughout. While the game tilted in Abington’s favor, Moosic continued to battle each inning and will look to regroup and bounce back in their next matchup.Top Offensive Performers – Abington All Stars 12U:
