SCRANTON — A dynamic duo and a second-half offensive explosion proved too much to handle as Scranton Prep topped Wallenpaupack, 79-60, in a Lackawanna League boys basketball showdown Tuesday night at the Xavier Center.

Brycen Martin and Packy Doherty were unstoppable for the Cavaliers, combining for 57 points to keep Scranton Prep firmly atop the league standings. Martin finished with a game-high 30 points, including four three-pointers and an 18-point second half. Doherty contributed 27 points of his own, setting the tone early with 15 points in the first quarter, including three three-pointers.
