Loyalsock Township’s Alaina Dadzie, a name well known across Pennsylvania high school basketball circles, has made her college decision official — committing to Bucknell University to continue her academic and athletic career at the Division I level.
The 6-foot-2 center/forward, part of the Class of 2026, has been a dominant force for the Lady Lancers. This past season, she helped lead Loyalsock to a PIAA 3A State Championship, anchoring the paint with her strength, footwork, and ability to control the glass. Her efforts earned her Pennsylvania’s 3A Player of the Year and All-State honors — accolades that only scratched the surface of her impact.
Dadzie has developed a well-rounded game and has consistently competed against elite-level talent across the region. Her presence inside, paired with a high basketball IQ and emerging versatility, made her a target for several collegiate programs. But in the end, the pull of playing close to home — just 30 minutes away in Lewisburg — made Bucknell the perfect fit.
Dadzie will return to the court this winter with one goal in mind: helping Loyalsock make another deep playoff push and defend their state title. With one more high school season ahead, the future Bucknell Bison still has plenty to accomplish before she trades in her maroon and white for orange and blue.
