Lake-Lehman sophomore forward Kinley Purdy scored her 50th career goal on September 3rd, 2025, in a match against Wyoming Seminary.

Purdy entered high school last fall and immediately became a difference-maker. As a freshman, she started every game and set a school record for goals in a season by a freshman, finishing with 42 goals and 14 assists. She was recognized as a First Team All-Star for her performance.

Now in her second year, she has started every game again and, just three matches into the season, already has 11 goals and 5 assists.

Purdy’s athletic impact isn’t limited to the soccer field. She also runs cross country, plays basketball in the winter, and competes in track and field, where she was part of the District 2 champion 4x800 relay team that advanced to the state meet.

Those around her describe her as a player who loves to compete and enjoys the game without pressure. She is supportive of her teammates, encouraging on the field, and consistent in her work ethic, always showing up to practice ready to play.

For Purdy, hitting 50 goals is another step in a career that’s still just beginning. With nearly three full seasons of soccer still ahead, she’s establishing herself as a player to watch in District 2.
