Lake-Lehman’s standout two-sport athlete Ella Wilson was named the Citizen’s Voice Female Athlete of the Year last night, a well-deserved honor for one of the most accomplished and dedicated athletes in the region.
Whether dominating on the volleyball court or leading the charge on the basketball floor, Wilson consistently delivered elite performances—and did it all with discipline, humility, and unmatched work ethic.
A Star on the Basketball Court
Wilson closed out her basketball career with an incredible stat line:
• 1,573 points
• 759 rebounds
• 225 assists
• 231 steals
• 141 three-pointers
• 77% free-throw shooting (327-for-423)
She was known for her all-around impact, serving as both a scoring leader and defensive force for the Black Knights.
Volleyball Excellence
Equally dominant in volleyball, Wilson owns multiple school records:
• 892 career kills (school record)
• 192 blocks (school record)
• 335 digs
• 352 service points
• 120 aces
• 187 set assists
• .450 hitting percentage
She also set single-season kill records in 2022 (272), 2023 (302), and 2024 (301).
Awards and Achievements
Wilson’s resume is filled with accolades:
• Three-time Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State selection
• Two-time Wyoming Valley Coaches Association MVP
• 2022 and 2023 Citizens Voice First Team All-Star
• 2022 District 2 Volleyball Champion
• District Finalist or Semifinalist all four years in volleyball

Ella will continue her athletic journey at Mercy College, where she plans to play basketball at the collegiate level.
