The Lake-Lehman Black Knights secured a commanding 51-41 victory over the Nanticoke Area Trojanettes in an intense girls’ basketball matchup held at Lake-Lehman High School. Consistent scoring performances from Kathryn Morgan and Kinley Purdy, who each tallied 14 points, powered the Black Knights to a well-earned win on their home court.


First Half Recap:


The Black Knights set the tone early with a dominant first quarter, outscoring Nanticoke Area 14-7. Kathryn Morgan was particularly effective, finding her way to the basket with precise shooting and strong inside play. On the defensive end, Lake-Lehman pressured the Trojanettes into tough shots, limiting their offensive output.


However, Nanticoke Area adjusted in the second quarter, narrowing the gap slightly with a 12-point effort while holding Lake-Lehman to 9. Nevaeh Baran and Caitlin Majiros spearheaded the comeback attempt, scoring key baskets to keep the Trojanettes within reach heading into halftime. Despite the push, Lake-Lehman maintained a slim 23-19 advantage at the break.

After halftime, Lake-Lehman returned with renewed energy, led by Purdy and Morgan’s continued offensive excellence. Entering the fourth quarter with a 38-32 lead, Lake-Lehman sealed the game with another 13-point performance.
