On Friday, February 21st, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Lady Lions played their final game of the season against Penn State Lehigh Valley, falling 62-43. Despite the loss, the team fought hard until the very end, showing their resilience and determination.
This game marked the last for two key seniors, #14 Shamonie Rose and #11 Jaidyn Kotch. Their leadership and commitment over the years were evident as they gave it their all in the final moments of their collegiate careers.
Lamarsha Wilson had a standout performance, ending the season strong with 12 points, 1 block, 3 steals, and 4 rebounds. With outstanding performances in her last few games, this is a great way to end her freshman season.
Though the season has come to a close, Penn State Wilkes-Barre looks ahead with determination. The team had a challenging but inspiring season, and they plan to use the offseason to regroup and prepare for next year, building on their hard-fought experiences and aiming for a stronger return.
