The Scranton Lady Knights punched their ticket to the Lynett Tournament finals with a 57 to 51 victory over the Scranton Prep Classics in Saturday’s semifinal matchup.

Scranton set the tone early and never let the moment get too big, taking a slim lead into halftime before delivering the knockout punch in the fourth quarter. The Lady Knights closed the game with 22 points in the final frame, turning a tight contest into a statement win.

Offensively, Scranton was locked in, shooting 19 of 34 from the floor and knocking down nine three pointers. Rhylee Bell and Chrissy Jacklinski led the way with 18 points apiece, combining perimeter shooting with aggressive play in the paint. Jaelyn Alers added 13 points, hitting three shots from beyond the arc and providing key scoring when momentum was up for grabs.

Scranton Prep made its push in the second half after a slow start. Chloe Mamera finished with 16 points to lead the Classics, while Ava Fenton added 15 and Eva Kazuba chipped in eight points and seven rebounds. Prep cut into the lead in the third quarter, but Scranton’s efficiency and composure down the stretch sealed the outcome.

With the win, Scranton advances to the Lynett Tournament championship game, where the Lady Knights will face the Dunmore Lady Bucks on Monday with the title on the line.
