Scranton Prep 15, North Pocono 1
The Cavaliers showed why they’re one of the top teams in District 2, cruising past North Pocono with a 15-1 victory. Grady Toolan led the charge with 4 goals and an assist, while Mackey Lynett and Tattoo McPartland each added hat tricks and an assist. Brady Holmes added two goals, and Jack Rully, Chris Ramey, and Colin McMullen each scored once. North Pocono’s lone goal came from Gavin Phillips. Prep’s balanced attack and smothering defense kept the Trojans on their heels from start to finish.
Crestwood 10, Delaware Valley 8 (Girls)
In girls action, Crestwood held off a strong challenge from Delaware Valley to secure a hard-fought 10-8 win. Senior leader Gia Caporuscio starred for the Comets with 4 goals, 1 assist, 7 ground balls, and 2 draw controls. Hannah Ziegleradded 3 goals and 3 assists to go along with 7 draw controls and 4 ground balls. Addie Knorr and Ella Novelli also found the net for Crestwood, and Lexi Zabroski made 6 saves. Delaware Valley’s Ava Kraczewski was outstanding with 5 goals, with additional tallies from Annabella Kornmeyer and Carrigan McCormick, while Jadia Palacios made 12 saves in net.
Abington Heights 16, Wyoming Area 2
Abington Heights showcased its offensive depth with a 16-2 rout of Wyoming Area. Rodman Azar led the way with 5 goals and an assist, followed by Michael Acure (2 goals, 1 assist), Adam White (2 goals), and Gavin Anders (2 goals, 1 assist). Gavin Lindsay chipped in a goal and two assists, while Thatcher Loss added 1 goal and 2 assists. Colton Naholnik and Sean Beck combined for 7 saves in net for the Comets. Wyoming Area’s Oliver Bolin accounted for both of the team’s goals, and goalie Guanta made 8 saves.
