Lackawanna Trail Rallies Past Mountain View, 52-48

In a back-and-forth battle, Lackawanna Trail pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure a 52-48 victory over Mountain View.


Mountain View held a slim 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended their advantage to 27-23 by halftime. After three quarters, they remained in front, 33-36. However, Lackawanna Trail surged in the final frame, outscoring Mountain View 16-9 to claim the win.


Lucas Filipek led Lackawanna Trail with 19 points, while Jake Antolik added 17, and Sean Langley contributed 8. The team shot 8-for-18 from the free-throw line, connecting on six three-pointers and 13 two-point field goals.


For Mountain View, Jackson Gesford paced the offense with 18 points, while Hudson Bain added 14, and Jackson Jagger chipped in 8. They shot an efficient 8-for-11 from the line, making four three-pointers and 14 two-point shots.


Despite Mountain View’s strong start, Lackawanna Trail’s late-game push proved decisive as they came away with the hard-fought win.


Lackawanna Trail will head to the arena for the championship game against Old Forge. The championship game will be played on 3/1 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at 2pm.
