LEHMAN TWP., Pa. — The Lake-Lehman boys soccer team dealt Tunkhannock its first defeat of the season with a 3–0 win Monday in Wyoming Valley Conference play. Andrew Morris scored twice and Greyson Dieffenbacher added one goal, while senior goalkeeper Andrew Chapple notched his 30th career shutout. Chapple also made two important saves early in the match to keep the Tigers off the board.
The victory improved Lake-Lehman to 8–1 overall and 5–0 in the conference, adding to wins over Berwick, Wyoming Area, Dallas, Holy Redeemer, and MMI Prep. Tunkhannock fell to 5–1 overall and 3–1 in the WVC. The Black Knights will travel to Hanover Area on Sept. 17 and Wyoming Seminary on Sept. 19. The Tigers return home to face Wyoming Area on Sept. 17 before meeting MMI Prep on Sept. 19.
