Innamorati’s 4-RBI Outburst Powers Pittston Past Berwick in Offensive Showcase

PITTSTON, PA – The Pittston Varsity Patriots wasted no time setting the tone on Monday afternoon, scoring 10 runs in the first inning on their way to a dominant 19-4 win over Berwick in Wyoming Valley Conference action.
Nick Innamorati led the offensive surge with a pair of RBI singles in the first and second innings, finishing the day 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two stolen bases. Pittston compiled 10 hits, drew six walks, and swiped 13 total bases in a complete offensive display.
The Patriots’ 10-run first inning was fueled by aggressive baserunning, timely hitting, and multiple defensive miscues by the Bulldogs. Silvio Giardina added a sacrifice fly and a triple in the inning, while errors and passed balls allowed Pittston to open up a massive early lead.
Pittston continued to pile on in the second with another surge that included Innamorati’s second RBI knock and a two-run double from Elijah Barr, who also tallied two stolen bases. The Patriots extended their lead further with RBI groundouts by Chase Montigney and Eli Mead in the third.
On the mound, Brady Baldrica earned the win, going three innings while allowing four runs and striking out one. Jacoby Harnen closed the door with a strong inning of relief, striking out all three batters he faced.
Pittston had four players finish with multi-hit performances, including Nick and Dom Innamorati, Giardina, and Beau Widdick. Richard Tonte drew three walks and was one of five Patriots with multiple stolen bases.
Luke Sult provided the lone spark for Berwick with a two-run homer in the top of the first and finished 1-for-1 with two RBIs. Berwick totaled just three hits, with Frankie Yosh and Jake Lisnock adding singles.
