WILKES-BARRE — The Wilkes-Barre Area Wolfpack left no doubt on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 49–0 shutout win over rival Valley West in the annual Battle of the Bridge. The victory not only pushed the Wolfpack to 5–3 on the season, but also marked a historic milestone for their senior quarterback.

Jake Howe officially became the Wyoming Valley Conference’s all-time passing touchdown leader, breaking the record previously held by Williamsport’s Isaiah Hankins. Howe threw for 235 yards and 4 touchdowns, giving him 66 career scoring passes.

Howe spread the wealth across his talented receiving corps — Jonathan Otway Kellom hauled in two touchdowns (16 and 24 yards), while Kevon Creech added an 85-yard strike and Jordan Kieselowsky caught a 5-yard score.

On the other side of the ball, the Wolfpack defense was just as dominant. Rajan Watson recorded a 41-yard pick-six, while Jayden Pena added another interception to help preserve the shutout.

With the win secured, the Wolfpack turn their attention to a key late-season matchup next week against Crestwood, as they continue to build momentum heading toward the postseason.
